A2: PET boards do not absorb water, do not trap dust, have a high fire resistance rating (B1), and the surface can be wiped with a damp cloth; while soft foam is prone to moisture absorption and mold, and produces toxic fumes when burned. PET boards are more suitable for indoor spaces with slightly higher humidity, such as basements and living rooms.


Q3: Will installing it in a home theater or music room reduce the "humming" bass boom?

A3: The effect is limited. PET boards mainly absorb mid-to-high frequencies (voices, string instruments) and are basically ineffective against low-frequency booms below 100Hz. To improve bass performance, you need to use a low-frequency trap or thicker sound insulation felt.
